Water Street Ministries

Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to the work at Water Street Ministries. With the support of hundreds of volunteers, we as a team can significantly effect change in the lives of the homeless and poor of Lancaster County.

Volunteers serve as groups or individuals, in one-time opportunities or on-going commitments. Most recently we have been adopting a High Impact Volunteer model. From recruiting with volunteer job descriptions and an application process, to equipping and leading volunteers, we strive to create an environment where the volunteer has influence and responsibility to make an impact. We don’t want volunteers to plug holes; we want volunteers to partner with us.

A high impact volunteer is someone who:

  • Senses a calling to use their God-given gifts, skills and talents to serve the poor and homeless of Lancaster County.
  • Desires to partner with Water Street Ministries in loving our neighbors by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support through Christian faith and guidance.
  • Makes a commitment to serve on a weekly or monthly basis in a volunteer capacity that expresses their gifts, talents and passions.

If you are interested in making an impact through Water Street Ministries, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (717) 358-2040 or Volunteer@WaterStreetMinistries.org.
