- The Message Remix (a paraphrase of the Bible) by Eugene Peterson, or modern Bible translations (new or gently used)
- Toiletries for clients (razors, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, feminine supplies, etc.)
- New white socks and underwear for men, all sizes; new bras and underwear for women, all sizes
- Large sizes of all types of clothing (for men and women, new or gently used)
- Sheets (flat and fitted for twin beds in our shelter; new or gently used)
- Bath towels for clients (new or gently used; any color that is least likely to fade)
- Mops, laundry baskets and detergent, cleaning supplies, plastic ware, etc. for 'welcome home' baskets for clients moving into their own apartments
- Single bed frames, mattresses and box springs (new or gently used)

The costs of seemingly basic items like toothpaste, shampoo, and other toiletries can really add up. By donating these items, you can help save Water Street Mission over $20,000 a year!

How do I drop off my donations? Food Items:
Your food donations will be used to prepare over 400 meals a day for the homeless and poor in Lancaster County -- that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the year!
Our kitchen is currently short on the following items:
- Anything fresh - from fruits
and vegetables to meat,
cheese, eggs or milk - Cereal
- Sugar (5lb bag)
- Sugar substitute
- Canned fruit
- Juices (at least 64oz) – vitamin C fortified
- Coffee creamer (dry bulk)

- Salad dressings
- Margarine

We welcome your food donations during the following hours at our Food Dock:
Monday - Friday: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday: 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Sunday: 6:00 am to 8:00 am
3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
The food dock is located in Seiber Hall at 210 South Prince Street, Lancaster. Seiber Hall is the first building on our block.
Items to Auction:
Do you have quality items in your home that you just don't use anymore? Items like antiques, collectibles, electronics, work out equipment, or sports/hobby equipment?
Water Street Ministries’ partnership with Auction Inn will allow you to convert these items into much needed dollars to help the homeless!
Getting started is easy!
- Drop off your items at Water Street Mission's Collection Center, designating them as a donation for the online auctions. If you have a question about what items qualify or would like to schedule a pick up for auction items, please contact Auction Inn (717) 509-6592.
- Auction Inn will coordinate all aspects of the online auctions (from posting items online to shipping them to the highest bidder).
- Auction Inn sends a check to Water Street Ministries -- the proceeds from your donated items!

M/F: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
T/W/H/Sa: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Note: The campus takes up an entire city block. Pass all the buildings on our block, and at the traffic light, turn right onto Conestoga Street. The Collection Center will be on your right. Look for a big white garage door!
